StrategiesIt is essential to conclude and resolve the issues that the Grand Canyon is currently facing. Through the sustainability of tourist practices, strategies can be implemented to achieve a safe environment. This can be conducted through the implementation of further guidelines and strictness regarding waste management from the visitors. Also, an excellent way to educate the visitors, for not only the Grand Canyon, but also for future use, is to have them watch a mandatory video on how to properly dispose waste in the park. This can help everyone know exactly what they can or can't do. In resolving air pollution that has been seen throughout the Canyon itself, a coal-fired power plant in Page has installed scrubbers in smokestacks to reduce air pollution. Fences have also been erected along the park boundaries to keep out trespassing cattle. The Grand Canyon has many sustainable practices in place, including an assertive recycling program in both public and residential areas within the park, a water reclamation facility that converts wastewater into safe water to use for irrigation and toilets, a composting program for mule waste from NPS and concessionaire operations, and a shuttle bus fleet that runs on clean-burning compressed natural gas. In addition, all recently constructed buildings in the park meet the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards, and all future construction will be designed to achieve the highest possible LEED ratings.

While the sound aeroplanes and vehicles do interfere with the wildlife and around the park which alludes in creating sound pollution, no flight zones can be installed to preserve natural quiet in remote areas of the park and prescribed burning and forest thinning are natural resource management tools used to restore forest landscapes and reduce wildfire hazards. It has been shown through data that the most wasteful times of the day when tourists visit the canyon is during the middle of the day in many camp or lunch designated areas, all rubbish that will burn should be disposed of in the campfires. Garbage cans are provided for no inflammable refuse. Wood and water are provided in all designated campgrounds.
There have been significant developments implemented by the federal government, which has shown growth in protected areas. However, these areas represent opportunities for economic growth and expansion in industries such as tourism and recreation services. The strategies that may be put into place to sustain the economy of the Grand Canyon is utilising public lands that offer vast resources for possible economic income such as the focus on outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, hunting and skiing. On the other hand, investors are specifically interested in the profits and jobs from building facilities, whereas Native Americans focus on sustaining this natural beauty. Another sustainable solution that will benefit the Grand Canyon, by benefiting the economic needed by the Canyon is to create a conservation area with small entry fee, as the money could be used for conservation purpose. Local people should be paid well in tour guiding visitors to sustain social cultures to extend the culture into the future. Sustaining the social-cultural aspects is beneficial as it can allow future generations to in inheriting the culture of the Native Americans, within the land of the Grand Canyon. The strategies that in which could keep the native their tongue and traditions, is by allocating programs for locals to take part in. The locals could share the spiritual connection they have with the land and the historical meaning behind the canyon and it's fascinating Sedimentary & Metamorphic Rocks. Sustainable tourism that should be taken into the Grand Canyon is a balance between interconnecting all environmental, economic and social-cultural aspects.
